A Product Launch Formula for Building Momentum
Whether you are new to your business, or planning a rebirth to expand your business, a Product Launch is an easy way to propel your business to what is seemingly instant success. When I think of some of the bog companies with the greatest product launch I can’t help but think of Steve Jobs. Remember those colorful iPod ads with white headphones posted everywhere? People had no clue what he was selling, but everyone wanted a pair. This article will teach you how to create the same buzzworthy attention for your product, opportunity or service.
This is a product launch formula you can use in any business.
Product Launch Step 1: Make Your Marketing an Event. Have you ever seen Field of Dreams? Then you know the catch phrase “If you build it, it will come”. That is the outlook people have on marketing. Not only is it outdated, it takes much more work. People are bombarded with ads and marketing all day, creating a marketing fog. If you announce you are in business and expect, or worse, WAIT for people to come get what you have, you will be washed into the waves of oblivion.
TRY THIS: Make your marketing into an event. Create some pre-launch content that builds people up, creates excitement and makes people stand in lines to buy from you. Everyone loves the concept of “Coming Soon”.
Product Launch Step 2: Pre-Launch to Build Anticipation. This is called the ‘Secret Sauce”. This is a series of pre-launch content you release over a period of time building up to your Product Launch. Eric Worre recommends a 90 day Pre-Launch. You can decide for yourself how long you want your pre-launch to be. Always focus on how your product, service or opportunity will benefit them.
TRY THIS: Your content should be videos, PDF reports or audios. Videos are easy and free to create with your smart phone.
Product Launch Step 3: Interaction. Remember, conversations build relationships. Monologues create a bigger distance between you and your future client. You become more interesting when you are more interested in the people you interact with.
TRY THIS: Answer questions people ask on your blog and on your videos. Interact with people who comment.
Product Launch Step 4: Joint Venture: Don’t think you have to do with all alone. All it takes is the help of one person with similar goals to take your product launch from big to massive. Who else on your team wants to create a launch? Help each other with three ways, marketing tips and presentations.
TRY THIS: Give someone in your business an opportunity to promote your event or product. Who do you know who has a similar market who would enjoy promoting your business?
Product Launch Step 5: Open and Concrete Close. The whole point to having a prelaunch and launch series is to increase clientele, to increase sales or to expand. Create a Product Launch date and a concrete close. This creates urgency for people to buy or sign up.
TRY THIS: Offer a special deal, bonus or pricing to those who act quickly. People love a deal.
Remember, if you want to grow two areas of your business, product and opportunity, you must have a separate prelaunch and product launch for each area.
